Counselling services coverage available to Canadians

Extended Medical Health Care Plan

Great-West Life, Sunlife Insurance, Pacific Blue Cross, Green Shield Insurance, Manulife and other health care providers might be offering reimbursement for counselling services and offer counselling coverage.

Check with your individual policy if they cover services of ‘clinical counsellors’. If these services are not listed in your policy you might still be covered as many insurers recently added counselling to their coverage. Check with your HR department or the insurer. A doctor’s note might be required.

Such companies as Telus, LuluLemon have substantial coverage for counselling services.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and Student Assistance Programs (SAP)

After you exhausted your extended health coverege benefits you still have access to short – term counselling through your EAP / SAP program at your work or school. Talk to your employer or directly to EAP company to set you up with a counsellor you chose to work with.

Our therapists are registered with EAP companies Aspiria, Arete and some other companies. All you have to do is to ask to connect you with a therapist you have chosen to work with.

ICBC Subsidized Counselling under Part 7 Benefits

If you have current ICBC claim you are eligible for counselling among other health services. You are automatically pre-approved for 12 sessions after the date of your accident.

Sliding Scale, Counselling Packages, Intern Counselling

Limited spots are available for those who are not able to pay the full price and don’t have any coverage. Please send us email and we will figure something out.
