What you’ll encounter in a session with Renee…

I offer an integrated and personalized approach to therapy that prioritizes genuineness, compassion, and non-judgment. I work collaboratively and holistically with my clients to uncover their strengths and unique paths for healing and change.

My skill set combines body-focused techniques as well as traditional talk therapy. Given that we experience many physical symptoms when dealing with mental health problems, I help my clients develop the ability to connect with their bodies and regulate these physical symptoms while processing difficult emotions. My goal is to provide you with the opportunity to relate to your whole self with compassion and curiosity and to unveil new understanding and paths for change.

A little more about Renee…

Her studies include RPC-C Certification, a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Psychology, and a 500-hour yoga instruction certificate alongside her yoga therapy certification.

Locally born, Renee enjoys the benefits of west coast living and enjoys hiking, running, paddle boarding, and yoga. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, swing dancing, and getting involved in community work at her local hospice helping individuals struggling with grief and loss.

A deeper insight into Renee’s therapy approach…

Having struggled with anxiety and low self-esteem in my younger years, I found the combination of counselling combined with the body-based mindfulness and nervous system regulating techniques of yoga therapy to be extremely beneficial in reducing anxiety and improving self-confidence. Now in my work as a yoga therapist and counsellor, I’ve honed my skills to facilitate body-centered therapy involving techniques for grounding, somatic awareness, mindfulness meditation, and vagus nerve stimulation exercises. I combine this with CBT, Emotion Focused Therapy, Gestalt techniques, and Solution Focused Therapy. This integration bridges the connection for deep personal insight, whole-body processing, and development for a new relationship with yourself.

What I love most about doing counselling therapy work is discovering the client’s strengths and the profound insight and solutions that are gained when allowed to listen, trust, and express themselves. My holistic approach is especially effective for self-esteem issues, life transitions and losses, anxiety, and relationship issues.

My clients are my teachers – revealing their strengths, creativity, and insight. I will be forever grateful for their willingness in me to be part of their journey to healing and self-realization.
